Sizing a tower to the room
From the FULMINARE air log
The square-foot rating on a purifier box answers one question: in a room this size, how often does the whole air volume pass through the filter. Bigger room, fewer passes, slower progress. The number is honest; the trick is holding it against your actual floor.
Read the floor, not the house
What counts is the room the tower lives in with the door shut. A 140 sq ft bedroom is a small job. The same bedroom with the door open to a hallway and a stairwell is a different building.
The lineup
| Setup | Listed room size | Today |
|---|---|---|
| One PU-P05 tower | 1,086 sq ft, per listing | $22.49 |
| PU-P05 two-pack | 1,086 sq ft each, two rooms | $51.29 |
| Night light three-pack | 215 sq ft each, three rooms | $58.06 |
| The Auto Sense tower | 1095 sq ft, one open floor | $54.14 |
Prices mirror the live listings and drift; the listing figure wins.
Oversizing is the quiet option
A tower rated above your room runs its low setting and still keeps pace. That is the comfortable way to buy quiet: headroom, not horsepower. The reverse, a small unit in a big room on high, forever, is how a purifier ends up unplugged.
Several small over one big
Doors decide it. Two bedrooms want two units, three rooms want three, which is what the multi-room sets are priced for. One loft-style floor with no walls to argue with is the Auto Sense tower’s home game.
